bahhh
the negatives.flu. sore throat. had a fever. jobless. bored. under medication. drowsy. ugly eye bags. pale looking skin. dry and frizzy hair. dry skin. tired droopy eyes. unremovable make up. aching calves. and the list goes on.
but not everything that has happened this week is a disaster.
though i'm jobless, it's also a good thing. gives me more time to spend the money i've earned.
i met up with colin last weekend and boy is he like my 2nd shopping charm.
despite my poor cousin being colour blind, he's straightforward about the colours that i should wear.
when i go window shopping, it's no longer window cos he'll just keep throwing things on me
haha. but it's good though. i got 2 dresses both of the total opposite side of the "occassion to wear a dress".
one's damn formal but not cocktail. formal enough to attend a wedding.
well, the other's just casual. casual enough to go to the beach but smart enough to go to town.
it's in between.
he got me this cap from esprit. haha. i'm a hat person.
while i did my shopping, he did his too.
he got a t-shirt and a jacket from zara. just like that.
oh! we saw the models doing make up at marina square and my goodness, they are gorgeous. well not all of them.
whoever said that all we see in magazines are all photoshop and stuff.
there was one who's like 1.8m tall or so, with really pretty brunette locks with good complexion and a great figure to top it up. (: pretty.
other than that, just yesterday, i went for the rayure fashion show at raffles city.
haha. the chocolate served there is good.
the models are damn skinny and tall. and i really mean skinny.
it was a great eye opener just to be there for the experience and stuff.
but sadly, the dress code made me have full make up on.
so being the idiot in make up, i had to go get it done somewhere. haha.
and since i don't own any make up, i don't see the need to have make up remover.
THUS! i still have a little bit of eye shadow around my eyes. but it'll wash off.
i guess i shall stop running around doing things and just stay at home and recuperate!
i need rest. a whole load of them.
i need to get rid of these hideous eye bags by next week!

back
back from shanghai!
came back yesterday and touched down in singapore at like 9.54pm (:
the temperature was 10degrees higher than the temperature when i left shanghai.
hothothot! but it was fun being santa claus when i reached home.
putting the baileys in my brother's room together with his shoes, 2tops and a set of china painting.
goodness me! i shopped so much that i didn't realise that i bought so many things for him!
i got myself 2denims, 1 shorts, 1 blouse, 2 tops, a belt and 2 pairs of shoes. not to mention 3earrnings!
haha. that's the power of singapore's currency! (:
did i mention that the food was oily but the dim sum was yummylicious?
haha. we practically ate xiao long baos everyday! heh.
yup. i think i ballooned a little but hah! the food was worth it!
though i would say that singapore's fish are way nicer than that in shanghai.
i miss eating fish! anyone wants to cook some fish for me?
&i didn't even sleep a wink on the plan back! proud of me? considering that everytime i get a seat on either a bus, or a taxi, a car, a train or plane, i fall asleep. (:
i watched stupid comedies like employee of the month, watched a 30min or so footage of the hotsexymama eva longoria, watched a few music videos, listened so some songs and play nintendo games! i love singapore airlines!

17 and counting
back! today's the 4th day in shanghai with my parents and weeby!! (:
photos taken on the strike of the clock of 15032007 (or the bao photos) except the last one taken in the morning after breakfast.
it official. today's
happy 17months!! (:
we finally get to spend literally the whole 24hours together though we did minus the sleeping time with him on the sofa and me in the room.
woke up for the breakfast that the hotel provided which cost 50yuan per person which the bank is paying for us!! (:
lazed around in the hotel room before the two of us headed down to the nearby restaurant for our month-anniversary lunch.
haha. had cold chicked with porridge and a tray of xiaolongbao - yummy!!
met my dad after he went to look at furniture for the new flat with my mummy.
took a train to the supposed most famous shopping area in the entire china! - nan xing lu.
it was mainly the mid to high end products like mont blanc, guess, nine west, stella mccartney, burberry etc.
it was just an experience.
for tea time we tried the macs here for a change just to see the difference.
the verdict? singapore's nuggets and french fries are way better than that here.
definitely healthier as well. the oil here they use taste gross.
walked a lot more towards other shopping district called qi pu lu.
the goods there are like damn cheap.
but sadly, the cutting of the jeans here are for people who wear their pants are the waist of mid waist.
i got a skirt and a pair of shorts though. major steal.
been looking for local made stuff cos the other stuff are just as common as those in singapore.
took the train to superbrands to wait for my mummy dearest to end work.
took a picture with some fanciful tv station. haha.
the happy 17 months photo!had another sorta of xiao long bao and some mini dumplings. damn mini.
had rice and dishes again.
had the pork chop that tasted almost exactly like the shiling chicken in singapore.
came back to the hotel to bum around watching stuff like my name is earl. 2 and a half men. faith&hope. american idol. and stuff. while at the same time planning the route for tomorrow.
it's a tiring day of walking around the entire place.
but it was all worth it cos i had my baby with me all the time (:
he's in the shower while i'm typing this.
thankyou baby for always being there for me. for holding my hand during this freezing temperature when the wind blows. for peeling the fruits for me. for taking food and feeding me in the morning. for voluntarily sleeping on the sofa though i want to. for keeping me warm by lending me your jacket even though your cold too. for simply being you. thankyou for sharing you food with my parents too. not only in china, but in singapore. for bringing me to catch the movies like you promised despite your busy schedule. for being so understanding. as i was counting the number of months we've been together. it suddenly dawned on me that we've been together for quite some time and time simply zooms by with you by my side. thankyou for loving me for who i am through everything. iloveyou!

shanghai!
SHANGHAI!!
yesterday was the first day in shanghai.
boy did i have to wake up early just to get to the airport in time.
the sia flight was alright.
i managed to catch a movie. hah. a night at the museum.
totally bummed cos wee&i&my dad walked around the whole day since we arrived.
had brunch at like this cosy little local shop which sold little fried buns. or baos.
it was yummy.
took a walk around the local markets where i bought like 30++ baby mangoes which i ate to my hearts content yesterday.
had dinner with my mum at this shopping mall which sold all the branded stuff.
&the conclusion.
they have much nicer clothes here despite the exact same brand which they have in singapore.
but the prices of the stuff are like times2 for most of them :( bummer.
and about the food here, it's not fantastic but it's damn oily.
according to my dad it's "virtually swimming in oil".
that's about it so far i guess.
sorry for being uncontactable for a while. but if there's anything important, there's always email.

my final day of work
yesterday was my final and last day at work :(
it's funny cos i was just beginning to enjoy the company of my collegues&enjoy working.
i gave everyone flowers&chocolates but i gave chargeback unit a box of chocolates.
i can tell you that i have the NICEST bosses and the most APPRECIATIVE ones ever!!
i got a pair of silver pretty earrings from siew mui (the manager of the unit) and a gold murano glass necklace made in italy from lay har (siew mui's boss). they are both lovely presents.
seriously, they are the best natured people in the office.
very hospitable and all. my citibank experience wouldn't be great without them.
ahhh.. i'm gonna miss them lah.
i've decided to try for either NUS FASS or SMU sales and marketing.
i'm still not sure what i want to do about it.
i've got replacements for some of the stuff that i've lost during the robbery.
wee got me another bag. though with the totally different scheme. i lost a black and grey bag but i got a blue and white one with red trimmings in return (:
thankyou dearest.
i totally adore it. since i'm more of a white person rather than black anyway.
i've borrowed his daddy's handphone.
no more debit card from posb, i just got the nets version.
i replaced my ezlink card.
the last thing i need is a wallet. though i'm not complaining about using the little red purse that my dearest ade got for me for christmas.
i need a replacement for a camera as well.
haha. so they're not completely replaced yet.
but i will when my final paycheck comes rolling into my house.
today's my cousin's commissioning parade!
haha. annoying crap. i was planning to wear knee length shorts with a simple tanktop
but noo.. we have to wear semi-formal / casual smart.
idiots. just when i taught when i can stop wearing office wear stamp approved clothes.
oh wells. what to do? he's my favourite cousin.
i have to be busy packing for my shanghai trip tomorrow (:
i hate packing but i can't wait for the trip.
i need to borrow a camera soon. haha. anyone?

happy.pissed.excited
friday was the release of the dreaded a levels results.
but to my surprise, i did fairly alright (:
hoping for the best, expecting the worse was the feeling i had inside since the moment i stepped my two feet into pjc.
i was almost on the verge of crying when i saw geography below the national average.
but it was a mark improvement from the year before.
when i saw ade's and my name on the screen for value added students. i cried tears of joy.
it's amazing how i didn't shine, not even once, through my entire education and how on the most important exam of my life, i did.
THANKS BE TO GOD FOR ALL THE OVERFLOWING BLESSINGS.
for without praying for 5mins into the exam to keep myself calm and composed, this would never have happened to me (:
congratulations to ade. mag. ching. angmoh. su xian. peiling. all those who did well.
i'm proud of all of you!! (:
fast forward. on saturday it was supposed to be a joyful and happy event when i went along with wee's family to malaysia to play with fire crackers (in spirit of the end of chinese new year)
but while having dinner, someone broke into wee's aunty's car and stole my bag :(
freaking annoying. i lost about 1thousand bucks worth of stuff.
to me, it wasn't so much about the amount of things i lost in monetary terms.
but it was all the memories in my camera. all the photos in my wallet (plus wee gave me the wallet). all the contacts in my handphone. my ic and ezlink card. together with my atm card. and the bag that my mum gave me for christmas.
frankly speaking, i didn't lose much money cos everything was gifts.
but i felt so sad cos those things meant so much to me.
but to cheer myself up. i decided to have fun with the fire crackers. once in a lifetime chance for me to play with them.
i filed a police report today.
damn troublesome.
it's back to work for me tomorrow.
last week of work before tong comes and take over me.
then saturday will be colin's comissioning parade. congrats cuz.
sunday is the day to pack.
and monday it'll be off to shanghai to meet my mum together with wee!! (:
i can't wait.
i can't wait to get my sim card. my new atm card. my new handphone. my new wallet.
i feel so empty going around without my valuables.
literally empty handed.
